Single varietal. Single vintage. Single vineyard.
The grapes for these hand (and foot)-crafted ports were grown in the Clarksburg area along the northern Sacramento River by the Heringer family. The Heringers have been farming their land for six generations and deliver beautiful fruit to our cellar year after year.
2012 Petit Verdot
This is a new direction for our petit verdot port. Instead of 4-5 years in the barrel, we released this port after two years of aging. The result is a brighter port, with dark fruit flavors - black cherry in particular - and the richness you would expect in a much older port. The finish is clean and lingering.
2007 Petite Sirah
Our 2007 ARIS petite sirah port has a sweet fruit nose and velvety maroon color. Tart cherry flavors and chocolate emerge with the first sip and carry all the way to the finish, which has hints of supple leather and raspberry.
2008 Petit Verdot
Our 2008 ARIS petit verdot is royal purple in appearance, with dark fruit aromas. On the palate, it is well balanced, beginning with earthy dark chocolate flavors followed by subtle dark cherry. The finish is clean and lingering. In keeping with our style, neither the residual sugar nor the alcohol overwhelms the subtle characteristics of this well-made port.
