Dried Fruit Compote
(made with DECO Port or Petite Sirah Port)
Serve this compote over rice pudding or sliced pound cake or fresh cheese, or use it as a topping over ice cream. You might even want to eat it by the spoonful.
¼ cup dried cherries
¼ cup dried blueberries
¼ cup raisins
¾ cup Petite Sirah port or DECO port with essences of dark chocolate
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Bring to a simmer, then remove the pan from heat and allow to cool. Store, covered, in the refrigerator.
